Worker Affairs Workshop held

AHRDO conducted a worker affairs workshop over two days from 16th-17th October 2012 in their Mae Sot office, on the Thai-Burma border. The workshop was focused on Burmese migrant rights, Burmese migrant workers’ passports, and Thai’s laws for Burmese migrants.


U Moe Grow from Joint Action Committee for Burma Affairs (JACBA), U Maung Gree from (New Light School) led the Workshop, which seven AHRDO members attended.

The main aim of the workshop was to promote awareness of the statue laws for Burmese migrant workers who work in Thailand.

 
AHRDO intends to do follow up activities regarding worker rights and worker laws in Thailand for Burmese migrant workers after the worker affair workshop has finished.
